About the Role
Seeking an experienced pastry chef to lead our pastry program, create high-quality baked goods and plated desserts, and manage pastry station operations in a fast-paced kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

Menu development: Design seasonal pastry and dessert menus, create new recipes, and adapt classics to cost and supply constraints.
Production: Prepare breads, viennoiserie, cakes, tarts, cookies, plated desserts, and dessert components to consistent quality and presentation standards.
Inventory & cost control: Order pastry ingredients, manage inventory, minimize waste, track food costs, and meet budget targets.
Team leadership: Supervise, train, schedule, and mentor pastry cooks and bakers; maintain a positive, efficient work environment.
Quality & consistency: Establish and enforce standard recipes, portioning, plating guidelines, and quality checks.
Kitchen operations: Coordinate with executive/chef de cuisine and front-of-house on menu timing, special events, and catering orders.
Sanitation & safety: Ensure compliance with food safety standards, proper storage, labeling, and cleanliness of pastry areas and equipment.
Special projects: Lead pastry for special events, seasonal promotions, or catering; develop signature items for retail or take-away.
