We Are Hiring – Quantity Surveyor / Tender Officer

A Grade-A Main Contracting Company in Qatar is looking for a qualified Quantity Surveyor / Tender & Procurement Officer with strong experience in construction tendering, estimation, procurement, and commercial activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
Prepare quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and tender pricing.
Send RFQs and obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
Prepare quotation comparison sheets and evaluate commercial offers.
Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive prices.
Assist in preparing technical and commercial tender submissions.
Prepare and review BOQs, rate analysis, and cost breakdowns.
Source suitable suppliers and subcontractors for different construction trades.
Coordinate with technical, procurement, and project teams during tender preparation.
Maintain supplier/subcontractor databases and pricing records.
Assist with procurement activities and preparation of purchase/subcontract recommendations.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
Relevant experience with a main contracting company.
Strong experience in tendering, estimation, procurement, and subcontractor/supplier sourcing.
Good knowledge of civil, architectural, MEP, and general construction works.
Ability to analyze drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
Good knowledge of MS Excel and quantity take-off/estimation tools.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Qatar/GCC construction experience is preferred.
Ability to work under tender deadlines and handle multiple tenders simultaneously.
