Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified and proactive Safety Officer to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations at project and site locations. The ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of safety standards, risk assessment, and incident prevention, along with a valid Qatar Driving License to support site inspections and mobility requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
 
Implement and monitor HSE policies and procedures on site
Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments
Ensure compliance with Qatar HSE laws, company policies, and project requirements
Identify hazards and recommend corrective and preventive actions
Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and training sessions
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; prepare reports
Ensure proper use of PPE and safe work practices
Coordinate with site supervisors, engineers, and management on safety matters
Maintain safety records, permits, and documentation
Support emergency response planning and drills
Requirements:
Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field
NEBOSH IGC or equivalent certification (mandatory/preferred)
Minimum [X] years of experience as a Safety Officer (construction/industrial experience preferred)
Valid Qatar Driving License (mandatory)
Strong knowledge of HSE standards, risk assessments, and incident reporting
Good communication and reporting skills
Ability to work independently and travel to multiple sites
Preferred Skills:
 
Experience in construction, MEP, oil & gas, or infrastructure projects
Knowledge of Qatar labor law and local HSE regulations
First Aid and Fire Safety certification is an advantage
