Description

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 7+ years of proven experience in Project Execution with significant exposure for Pipeline Construction Project.
• knowledge of RLIC construction practices
• knowledge of Quantity Surveying
• ASNT LEVEL – II (UT & MT)
• Supervise mechanical construction activities to ensure the technical objectives are met within the approved scope, budget and schedule of the Project.
• Preparing the scope of work for construction & installation of new pipeline
• Planning for execution activity with respect to scope in pre shutdown, shut down & post shut down
• Review & approve execution documents viz. Project Quality Plan, Installation Procedures, NDT Procedures, Work Instructions etc. as per contract/ client requirement.
• Monitor the implementation of the approved Project Quality Plan.
• Review the Welding Procedure Specification & Procedure Qualification Record for SMAW, GTAW, and GMAW, FCAW process according to ASME Sec-IX & AWS D1.1.
• Managing the Welder Qualification Test and maintaining the qualification & inspection reports of WQT as well as validation of welder’s qualification for process.
• Ensure proper coordination of quality inspections with all the site subcontractors and vendors at site.
• Monitor the quality of works by ensuring the compliance of the EPC with the approved drawings, method statements, standards and guidelines and issue non conformances when detected.
• Carrying out visual inspection of fit ups & welded joints as per WPS/Drawing
• Witness NDT’s, including Interpretation of Radiography Films as per approved NDT plan.
• Conduct surveillance inspection / expediting as per plans on the activities involving welding, materials, and dimensional inspection
• Checking dimension of all the pre-fabricated items as per drawing. Checking for consistency with P & I.D, Piping Plan and Isometric Drawing as to size, rating and material
• Track all changes and ensure Red Line Mark Ups (RLMU) are prepared for approved changes.
• Receive ,track, coordinate for resolution of all Site Technical Queries (STQ) received from the EPC Contractor.
• Provide a weekly report for the site representative.
• Inspect the materials procured and perform the handover to the contractor.
• Compare the planned to actual and provide feedback to the site representative.
• Review contractors daily and weekly progress reports.
• Managing EPC (QA/QC, representatives)
• Construction schedule review and feedback to Project Manager.
• Familiar with International Codes and Standards and well as specifications of various Operating Companies in the region
• Participate in the in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and provide technical inputs.
• Review or provide feedback on MS & JHA submitted by Construction contractor.
• Inspection of Hydro test, Leak test, Pneumatic test, Flushing/Air Blowing and Reinstatement
• Review of loop history sheet & hydro test pack, handling punch points and maintaining the production & inspection report.
