Job Vacancy: Technical Manager – Civil / Architectural Engineering

Location: Qatar
Minimum Experience: 10 Years
Mandatory Requirement: Valid UPDA/MME Classification – Grade A or Grade B

We are seeking an experienced Technical Manager specialized in Civil or Architectural Engineering to join our team in Qatar.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead and supervise technical activities for civil and architectural engineering projects.
* Review and coordinate engineering drawings, design documents, specifications, shop drawings, and method statements.
* Ensure compliance with Qatar construction regulations, engineering standards, and relevant authority requirements.
* Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and project teams to resolve technical issues.
* Monitor technical submissions, design coordination, and approval processes.
* Provide technical guidance and support to project managers, engineers, and site teams.
* Review material submittals, technical proposals, and variation requests.
* Identify design discrepancies and technical risks and recommend appropriate solutions.
* Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and engineering best practices.
* Attend technical meetings and follow up on approvals and outstanding technical comments.
* Support tendering activities through technical reviews and engineering clarifications.
* Prepare and review technical reports and maintain proper engineering documentation.

Qualifications & Requirements

* Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
* Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience in construction or engineering.
* Valid UPDA/MME engineering classification in Qatar, Grade A or Grade B, is mandatory.
* Strong knowledge of Qatar construction regulations, engineering standards, and authority approval procedures.
* Proven experience in technical management and engineering coordination.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; BIM/Revit knowledge is an advantage.
* Good command of English and English is an advantage.
