Financial Accounting Controller

Description

Financial & Accounting:
• Own the consolidation and preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual IFRS financial statements.
• Maintain the integrity of the general ledger across all group entities.
• Lead month-end and year-end closing, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
Audit & Compliance
• Act as the lead liaison for internal and external auditors to ensure timely completion of audits.
• Identify control weaknesses and collaborate with stakeholders to implement corrective actions.
• Uphold the highest standards of accuracy and consistency in financial record-keeping.
Tax Compliance & Planning
• Oversee all tax activities, including corporate income tax, withholding tax, and contract registrations.
• Ensure the group stays ahead of changing tax regulations and support strategic tax planning.
• Manage relationships with external tax advisers and regulatory authorities.
Internal Controls & Process Improvement
• Evaluate and enhance accounting policies to strengthen internal controls.
• Drive the standardization and automation of workflows, specifically through ERP optimization.
• Conduct regular control testing to identify gaps and develop long-term improvements.

• Qualified Expert: Hold a CPA, CA, ACCA, CMA or equivalent qualification.
• Audit Firm : No less than 5 years of experience working within a Big Five audit firm
• Experience: 7–10+ years of total progressive experience
• Tax Savvy: Solid knowledge of IFRS/GAAP and local tax regulations.
• Technical: You are a power user of Microsoft Excel and have hands-on experience with major ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Dynamics).
