Outsourced Job Opening: Senior Functional Specialist (SAP FICO)
Role Overview : As a Senior Functional Specialist (SAP FICO), this role will drive the strategic implementation and optimization of SAP solutions, including S/4HANA and other ERP solutions, across financial, operational domains and drive digital transformation initiatives aligned with business goals. Report to Section Head - MIS.
Key Responsibilities
FICO Solution Architecture
- Design and configure SAP FICO (FI, CO, Treasury, BCM, BPC) solutions in S/4HANA environment.
- Provide expert support for finance, costing, and fund management operations.
- Ensure & support compliance with IFRS, ICFR, Internal/External audits, VAT, and ISMS ISO 27001:2022 controls.
- Manage master data, user roles, and authorization controls.
- Lead the transition and optimization of financial processes in S/4HANA.
- Lead integration of FI (GL, AA, AR ,AP & VAT), CO (CCA, PCA, PC & COPA) modules with MM, WM, ARIBA, SD, PM, PS, PP, QM & HCM relating to Logistics, production, maintenance and process related process.
 
S/4HANA-Specific Scope
- Lead SAP teams and oversee full-cycle projects including S/4HANA implementations, upgrades, and rollouts.
- Define and execute SAP roadmaps aligned with business and IT strategies.
- Ensure seamless integration with non-SAP ERP’s, cloud platforms, and tools like SAP Ariba & Business Data Cloud.
- Drive automation and process optimization across finance and operations.
- Maintain alignment of SAP functionalities with organizational and regulatory requirements.
- Implement innovations such as Fiori apps, and real-time analytics (SAC/other).
- Drive continuous improvement and digital transformation initiatives.
 
Strategic & Operational Support
- Collaborate with business units to align SAP solutions with strategic objectives.
- Provide training and support to end-users and finance teams.
- Coordinate and ensure seamless business continuity with Infrastructure section projects.
 
 
Skills & Competencies
- Deep expertise in SAP FICO, Treasury, BCM, BPC, and Funds Management
- Proficiency in S/4HANA, Ariba, VAT and integration with Non-SAP ERP’s
- Strong leadership and excellent project management skills
- Excellent problem solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement
- Experience with WRICEF, ABAP coordination, and UAT
Qualifications: Education
- Graduate in finance, BCom or MBA
-  SAP Certified Associate Financials & Costing (ECC6 / S/4HANA)
- CA / CMA / PMP is preferred
Experience
- 10+ years in SAP operations Finance, Accounting and Costing
- 5+ years in a leadership role managing SAP FICO in ECC / S/4HANA
- Industry exposure in manufacturing (cement/any other mandatory), Construction, Property, Retail, Shipping and trading etc.
