IT Specialist (Part-Time) – Real Estate & Jewellery Company
 
Position Summary:
We are looking for a reliable, part-time IT Specialist to support a growing real estate and jewellery group. The ideal candidate will handle day-to-day technical support, maintain systems and networks, and ensure our data and devices are secure and running smoothly across both businesses.
 
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide technical support to staff (in-person, phone, and remote) for computers, printers, emails, and mobile devices.
• Install, configure, and update hardware (PCs, laptops, printers, POS systems) and software (Windows, Office, antivirus, business apps).
• Maintain and monitor network performance (Wi-Fi, routers, switches) and troubleshoot connectivity issues in offices and showrooms.
• Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for internet, CCTV, POS, and software systems.
• Ensure regular data backup, basic server/Cloud management, and secure file sharing between departments.
• Manage user accounts, access permissions, and passwords in line with company policies.
• Maintain and troubleshoot company websites, email domains, and basic online systems (real estate portals, CRM, etc.).
• Monitor and support cybersecurity measures: antivirus, updates, and awareness of phishing and suspicious activity.
• Keep an updated inventory of IT equipment and propose upgrades or replacements when needed.
• Prepare simple reports on IT issues, downtime, and improvement suggestions.
Requirements:
• Proven experience as an IT Support/IT Specialist (preferably in office or retail environment).
• Good knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, basic network concepts (LAN/Wi-Fi), and common office hardware.
• Experience with cloud storage, email management, and basic website/hosting control panels.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good communication skills and ability to support non-technical staff.
• High level of integrity and respect for confidentiality, especially with jewellery and real estate data.
• Ability to work flexible part-time hours (e.g. a set number of days or hours per week, including on-call for urgent issues if needed).
 
Preferred (Not Mandatory):
• Experience with real estate CRM or property management systems.
• Experience with POS systems and CCTV.
• Basic understanding of data protection and cybersecurity best practices.
