Description

Maintain and oversee the job costing system, ensuring all project costs (materials, labor, subcontractors, equipment) are accurately captured and coded.
Review and analyze project budgets vs. actual costs, investigating and explaining significant variances.
Work closely with Project Managers to ensure cost accuracy and provide them with timely financial data
Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all deadlines are met.
Supervise the accounts payable function, ensuring subcontractor and supplier invoices are accurately coded to the correct projects and properly approved.
Process and review subcontractor payments, ensuring they align with contract terms and work completed.
Manage vendor relationships and resolve any invoice discrepancies

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
A minimum of 5-7 years  of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years  in a Senior Accountant role within the construction industry .
Demonstrable, hands-on experience with job costing, WIP reporting, and revenue recognition for long-term contracts (POC method).
Proficiency in mid-tier construction accounting software.
