About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong specialization in gypsum fit-out projects to join our dynamic team in Qatar. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in managing all financial aspects of our projects, from initial estimations to final accounts, ensuring cost efficiency and successful project delivery within the gypsum scope.
 
Key Responsibilities:
•Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and Bills of Quantities (BOQ) specifically for gypsum partitions, ceilings, and other related fit-out elements.
•Conduct thorough quantity take-offs from 2D drawings (AutoCAD etc.) and 3D models (Revit/BIM).
•Perform cost analysis and value engineering to identify potential savings and optimize project profitability without compromising quality.
•Manage procurement processes for gypsum materials and related services, including tender preparation, evaluation, and contract negotiation with suppliers and subcontractors.
•Monitor project expenditure against budget, identify variances, and implement cost control measures throughout the project lifecycle.
•Prepare and submit interim payment applications, progress valuations, and final accounts.
•Assess and manage variations, claims, and disputes, ensuring fair and timely resolution.
•Collaborate closely with project managers, site engineers, designers, and clients to ensure financial alignment and seamless project execution.
•Maintain accurate financial records and documentation for all gypsum-related works.
•Work with multiple projects in parallel while understanding the needs of each.
 
Qualifications & Experience:
•Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
•3-5 years of solid experience as a Quantity Surveyor in Qatar, specifically with demonstrated expertise in gypsum works.•Must be currently residing in Qatar with a valid QID.
•Ready to move/join immediately is considered a significant asset.
•Solid proficiency in 2D and 3D software for quantity take-off and modeling (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, CostX, PlanSwift, or similar relevant platforms).
•Fluent in English, both written and verbal communication.•Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
•Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.
