Description

Painter performs Chemical Agent Resistant Coating (CARC/Non-CARC) painting on a variety of light and heavy tactical wheeled & ground support equipment. Prepares internal/exterior surfaces as required to remove rust/unserviceable paint coatings. Applies Pre-treatment, Primer & Paint as required to meet applicable standards. Mixes and applies paints of all compositions. Handles & Disposes of Hazardous Materials as per the rules & regulations.
 
•        Performs Chemical Agent Resistant Coating (CARC/Non-CARC) painting on a variety of light and heavy equipment, such as tactical wheeled, track, artillery, & ground support equipment i.e.; masking/taping, painting, de-masking/touch-up, stenciling, ground guiding/movement of light & heavy equipment/ground support equipment.
•        Perform Corrosion Prevention Control as required to restore military equipment to applicable standards. Prepare vehicle/equipment surfaces for primer/ paint by removing rust, unserviceable paint/primer coatings to include pressure washing, chipping, sanding, sandblasting.
•        Maintains paint room and sets up, adjusts and performs minor maintenance on painting equipment/paint booth.
•        Proficient in Paint Booth, Paint Pot, Paint Shaker operations/maintenance.
•        Proficient in the use of all required respirators & Personal Protective Equipment.
•        Experience in Hazardous Material Handling & Disposal

General Requirements:
•        Good English communication skills
•        Min 1-3 years’ experience in Painting field
•        High School Graduate or equivalent with valid trade certificate
•        Valid Qatar Resident
•        Must be able to read and understand Painting layout drawings.
•        Possess knowledge of safety and environmental issues as they relate to Facility Maintenance
•        Ability to effectively respond to inquiries or complaints both verbally and in writing.
•        Requires working both indoors and outdoor in addition to working inside an office.
•        Collaborative work style, fostering cooperation and teamwork is required.
•       Basic proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook applications.
•       High-level organization and planning skills so workflow is managed efficiently and accurately.
Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets reports and documents
