Description

Our company is seeking a skilled Senior Planning Engineer to join our team. Provides engineering analysis and technical support for the planning and operation of the project. Implements appropriate system modeling, develops tools and procedures to monitor and control the system, performs system studies, analyzes simulated or actual operating results, develops solutions to current or future system issues, and appropriately reports findings and recommendations.
 
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform all planning and scheduling activities required for the project, as guided by the Project Manager.
- Prepare the project master program and review, comment on, and approve the baseline schedule submitted by the contractor, considering the identification of craft labor, equipment, material, and cash requirements by time period.
- Assist in providing input and analysis from a planning perspective on market/protocol design issues.
- Structure appropriate planning studies and sensitivity analyses to determine the need for improvements and evaluate proposed projects, including technical and financial analyses.
- Review, recommend, and endorse Extension of Time (EoT) claims submitted by the contractor to the client.
- May provide on-the-job training or oversee the work of other engineers/analysts.
- May act as a mentor and adviser to less experienced engineers/analysts.
- Participate in multi-functional teams to obtain input, address comments, and perform studies.
- Assist in developing tools, processes, and procedures that enhance system reliability and departmental/organizational efficiency.
- Provide assistance to the Project Manager for reports on contractor delays in project deliverables and suggest mitigation and corrective actions.
- Manage various reports, such as Daily, Weekly, Bi-Weekly, Monthly, Monthly Presentation Reports, Delay Analysis, and EoT Tracker reports.
- Produce visual aids, such as bar charts and network diagrams, to explain the schedule of work.
- Monitor the progress of the project at different stages of its development.
- Plan, schedule, and oversee the entire program of work.
- Select the most appropriate techniques and logical sequence of activities to complete the project scope.
- Coordinate project design stages and supervise the construction process effectively.
- Provide support and cooperation regarding the Quality Department's requirements and audits.
- Provide support and cooperation in regard to Business Development and Tender Management activities when requested.
