Job Descriptions & Key Responsibilities:
• Cut, arrange and decorate flowers according to trend and customer demand
• Store flowers in a cold storage to maintain its beauty.
• Receive and encode orders and request of clients.
• Make floral presentations to be shown on prospect clients.
• Communicate with clients regarding with their request and orders.
• Communicate with party/wedding planners (for special occasions)
• Inform clients with their billing statements.
• Inform and suggest clients with suitable flowers.
• Arrange both real and artificial flowers for display at occasions or in the home or office.
• Create original designs.
• Fulfill large orders.
• Work with clients to fulfill their vision for occasions such as weddings, funerals, or celebrations and events.
• Work with a wide range of foliage and flowers.
• Find vendors to supply seasonal flowers.
• Order and purchase flowers and supplies from wholesalers and growers.
• Keep flowers watered and fresh.
• Discard wilting or dead arrangements.
• Wait on customers in floral shop.
• Inform customers about the care, maintenance, and handling of flowers and foliage.
• Provide advice and suggestions for flower selection.
• Unpack flowers and prepare for storage.
• Deliver flowers to clients if necessary.
Requirements:
• Demonstrable experience as a florist.
• Completion of a Botany-related course is highly advantageous.
• Acutely familiar with plants' nutritional needs and life spans.
• Knowledgeable about flower handling techniques.
• Ability to nourish, combine, and affix flowers and pertinent accessories.
• Approachable, patient, and forthcoming.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Preferably from Asian nationality.
