Job Role: Safety Officer
JOB DESCRIPTION:
•    Monitor low risk & high-risk work activities and giving HSE advice to the workers on site.
•    Monitoring and assessing hazardous and unsafe situations and developing measures to assure personnel safety
•    Correct unsafe act or condition through the regular line of authority, may exercise, emergency to prevent or stop unsafe act.
•    Provide onsite HSE trainings, instructions, information and advice to the workers via toolbox talks / meetings.
•    Participate in planning meeting to identify any health and safety concern inherent in the operations of daily work plan
•    Submit monthly HSE statistics report, HSE inspection report, incident / accident investigation report and near miss report.
•    Conducts HSE investigation report / root cause analysis and reporting. Provides HSE intervention on unsafe acts & unsafe condition during work
•    Ensure safe system of work are being implemented and adhered by the workers of all levels.
•    Assist in Health and Safety audits and produce audit reports and follow up any actions.
•    Liaise closely with the Operations team to manage issues relating to the safe system of work.
•    Support project mobilization team on Organizational Health & Safety related matters.
•    Conduct welfare facilities, camp, firefighting, fire detection, and fire prevention inspection and report
•    Assist in the identification of need and preparation of risk assessments, compliance and training of staff, with reference to machine risk assessments, manual handling, working at height etc.
•    Ensures permit to work system are updated / valid and implemented on site and provides proactive approach to control hazards and risk
•    Coordinate drills of emergency response plan.
•    Review and record checks on all fire exits, fire and fire equipment, and fire signs.
•    Assisting & Coordinating with Implementation of IMS in the company
•    Conduct Training Programs for QHSE Awareness among employees
•    Support the provision of occupational health within the business, under the direction of Senior Officer – QHSE.
•    Promote QHSE initiatives in workplace with adherence to legislation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
•    NEBOSH IGC- 1,2,3, IOSH, Fire Warden, and other related safety certificates
•    College Graduate
•    Minimum 4 years for work experience
