JOB PURPOSE
The Plant Operator in our Petrochemical Operations Department plays a critical role in the safe and efficient operation of our petrochemical production facilities. This position is responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and controlling equipment and processes to ensure the quality, safety, and productivity of our operations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate, monitor, and control equipment and processes in the plant to maintain safe and efficient production.
- Conduct routine inspections and checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning and identify any issues or abnormalities.
- Respond to alarms and emergencies promptly, taking appropriate action to mitigate risks and ensure the safety of personnel and equipment.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols to maintain compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as equipment cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs, to ensure equipment reliability.
- Record and maintain accurate logs, data, and documentation related to plant operations, incidents, and maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to schedule and coordinate equipment repairs, upgrades, and preventive maintenance.
- Assist in troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment malfunctions and process deviations.
- Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge of plant operations and safety.
- Comply with environmental regulations and participate in environmental initiatives to minimize the plant's impact on the environment.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- This position may require working in an plant environment, which can include exposure to hazardous chemicals and noise levels that require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
