Description

1.            Sourcing Suppliers: Identifying potential suppliers, conducting negotiations, and establishing agreements or contracts for the procurement of goods and services.
2.            Vendor Evaluation and Selection: Assessing suppliers based on factors such as price, quality, availability, and reliability. Making decisions on which vendors to engage with.
3.            Request for Proposals (RFPs) and Quotations (RFQs): Creating and issuing RFPs and RFQs to potential suppliers, specifying the goods or services required, and requesting pricing and other relevant information.
4.            Price Negotiation: Negotiating with suppliers to secure advantageous terms, such as price, payment terms, delivery schedules, and quality requirements.
5.            Contract Management: Overseeing and managing contracts with suppliers, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions, and resolving any issues or disputes that may arise.
6.            Market Research and Analysis: Keeping abreast of market trends, supplier performance, and industry best practices to make informed procurement decisions.
7.            Cost Analysis and Cost Reduction: Analyzing costs associated with procurement and finding ways to reduce expenses without compromising on quality or service.
8.            Inventory Management: Monitoring and maintaining appropriate stock levels to meet operational needs while minimizing excess or obsolete inventory.
9.            Compliance and Regulation: Ensuring that all procurement activities adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
10.         Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating potential risks associated with procurement, such as supply chain disruptions, quality issues, or supplier defaults.
11.         Supplier Relationship Management (SRM): Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure a reliable and consistent supply of goods and services.
12.         Quality Assurance and Control: Collaborating with other departments to ensure that purchased goods and services meet the required quality standards.
13.         Record Keeping and Documentation: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of procurement activities, including contracts, orders, and supplier information.
14.         Budget Management: Managing the procurement budget, tracking expenses, and providing regular reports to management.
15.         Ethical Sourcing and Sustainability: Ensuring that procurement activities align with the organization's ethical and sustainability goals, which may include sourcing from environmentally responsible suppliers.
16.         Continuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities for process improvement within the procurement function and implementing best practices.
17.         Communication and Coordination: Collaborating with various departments (such as operations, finance, and legal) to ensure smooth procurement processes and to address any issues that may arise.
