Account receivable and credit control Job description
The role requires a strong focus on managing the accounts receivable ensuring accurate invoicing
and proactive follow up with customers to maintain healthy cash flow for the organisation.
Responsibilities
1- Maintain and monitor the accounts receivable ledger including recording transaction,
generating invoices and updating customer information.
2- Follow up on overdue invoices and promptly contact customers to request payment.
3- Resolve any payment discrepancies or disputes by addressing invoicing or payment related
issues.
4- Assess the creditworthiness of potential customers using financial data and credit checks.
5- Establish appropriate credit limits for customers and make decisions on credit approvals and
extensions.
6- Monitor credit exposure and aging of accounts to minimise bad debts and mitigate overdue
payments.
7- Collaborate with the sales team to negotiate payment terms with customers.
8- Regularly review and analyse the accounts receivable aging report.
9- Following up with the delivery team for sales returns, checking and processing compensation
request related to returns.
10- Initiate collection effort through phone calls, emails, and letters to ensure timely receipt of
payments.
11- Work closely with the sales team to address payment issues and resolve outstanding
balances.
12- Prepare Periodic reports on accounts receivable status, collection efforts and credit risk
analysis.
13- Provide valuable insights and recommendations to management based on financial data
analysis.
14- Identify opportunities for streamlining accounts receivable and credit control processes to
improve efficiency. Suggest and implement the best practices to optimize cash flow
management and minimize credit risk.
15- Conducting filed visit to customer when needed.
